Natalie MacLean Wine Review - August 2024
Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:
Celista is a local winery out of the Shuswap area in British Columbia. The winery also has a few cabins near the lake and features a Winedown Wednesday, as well as other community events including weddings and all manner of celebrations. Here, the atmosphere is calm, relaxed and charming... just like their wines.
Ortega 2022 is clean, fresh and delicate with aromas of ripe stone fruit, white elderflower, nectarine and mandarin zest. On the palate it is off-dry, medium-bodied and palate coating with fresh nectarine, apricot, subtle spicy and mineral notes nicely balanced with fresh acidity and a lingering finish. Tasted August 2024.
Overall, an easy-to-enjoy Ortega, slightly botrytis affected, elegant and refined with all its components balanced and in place. Serve it chilled with seafood or soft cheeses.Link to article:
