Welcome to Celista Estate Winery,

Celista Estate Winery is producing some of Canada’s best wines. The winery has just won four medals in the All Canadian Wine Championships, including two double-gold medals, one each for Celista Cuvee and Marg’s Rose; a gold medal for Oak Barrel Foch Reserve; and, a bronze medal for Siegerrebe.

In an eleven-year period the winery has won over 100 medals. “we are overjoyed,” said Jake Ootes, who with his wife Margaret operate Celista Estate Winery. “We are so proud of our team — vineyard workers, tasting room staff, outside sales reps and most of all our winemaker, Lee Holland. Lee has been our winemaker since start up. I am incredibly pleased for him. These awards are a testament to his incredible skill, and of course his first-class palate.”

The All Canadian Wine Championships were held on July 25 in Niagara peninsula in Ontario. It is the oldest and one of the largest wine competitions in the country. Wines were blind tasted by eleven professional judges including wine journalists, wine makers, wine retailers and wine educators.

“We aspire to be better each year—refining the grape growing and the wine making process.”

The winery is the most northern grape winery in North America. “We are located on a perfect site for grape growing -- a distinct bowl among distant mountains and the proximity of Shuswap Lake. Our terrior - air flow, soil, sun exposure, water and moisture conditions -- is a major part of our success. “

Celista Estate Winery is located on the north shore of Shuswap Lake, nine kilometers past Scotch Creek Provincial Park, in the interior of British Columbia.
